What is Heatmap Visualizer?
The Heatmap Visualizer turns a pasted grid of numbers into a color-scaled table where every cell carries its own intensity: labels from the first row and column become headers, four color scales fit any report, and the minimum, maximum and average are computed beside the grid. It is the fastest path from a CSV export or a spreadsheet selection to a visual answer β patterns, outliers and hot spots appear the moment you paste, and nothing ever leaves the browser.
Key Benefits
- Paste-and-go: CSV, TSV and semicolon grids all parse
- Automatic label detection from the first row and column
- Four color scales with instant rescaling
- Min, max and average statistics computed alongside
- Sensitive data stays local β rendering is fully offline
Common Use Cases
- β’Reviewing weekly performance numbers by team and metric
- β’Spotting outliers in survey or test-result matrices
- β’Comparing prices or metrics across categories at a glance
- β’Adding a quick heatmap to a report or slide
- β’Teaching how color scales encode magnitude
How to Make a Heatmap from a Grid
- Paste the grid: Paste rows of numbers separated by commas, tabs or semicolons. Keep the first row and column as labels if you have them β they become the heatmap headers.
- Check the parse: If any cell is non-numeric the tool explains the problem instead of guessing; fix the delimiter or remove the stray text.
- Pick a color scale: Green suits performance tables, blue reads neutrally in reports, red highlights risk, purple stands out on white pages β every cell rescales instantly.
- Read and share: The statistics cards show the minimum, maximum and average. Copy them for notes, or screenshot the table straight into a slide or document.
