Key Benefits
- Identify which part of your lifestyle contributes most to your emissions
- Compare your footprint against global averages and climate targets
- See how switching vehicles, energy sources, or diet could reduce emissions
- Get a tangible offset estimate in number of trees
- No sign-up or data upload β everything stays on your device
Common Use Cases
- β’Individuals tracking their progress toward a lower-carbon lifestyle
- β’Sustainability officers building awareness materials for teams

How to Use the Carbon Footprint Calculator
- Enter Your Transport: Fill in your annual distances for car, bus, and train travel, plus your yearly flight hours. Choose your car fuel type (petrol, diesel, hybrid, or electric) for accurate emission factors. Toggle between kilometers and miles as needed.
- Enter Your Home Energy: Input your average monthly electricity consumption in kWh and your monthly natural gas usage in kWh. The calculator multiplies by 12 to get annual figures and applies standard grid emission factors.
- Select Your Diet Type: Choose the diet that best matches your eating habits: meat-heavy (daily meat), average (some meat), vegetarian, or vegan. Diet choices can change your annual footprint by up to 50%.
- Read and Compare: Your total annual footprint appears in tonnes CO2e, with a breakdown bar chart by category. The colored scale compares you against the global average (4.7 t) and the Paris Agreement target (2 t). Click Copy to save the full report.
