How to Estimate Countertop Costs
- Measure the run: Enter the countertop length and depth in meters. Standard depth is about 0.6 meters; measure wall to front edge if you are unsure.
- Set the slab size: Enter the slab length and width your supplier sells, commonly around 3 by 0.65 meters for stone. The calculator adds your waste allowance and rounds up to whole slabs.
- Deduct the cutouts: Enter how many sink and cooktop cutouts the run has and their approximate areas. These are removed from the net area used for installation pricing.
