What is Graph Paper Generator?
The Graph Paper Generator is a free browser tool that builds printable square, dot, isometric, and hexagonal sheets and exports them as PNG or a single-page PDF.
Key Benefits
- Print metric 5 mm or US 1/4 inch grids without buying a pad
- Switch between square, dot, isometric, and hex on the same page size
- Keep a margin so hole punches and printer edges do not clip the grid
- Export locally with no account or watermark
Common Use Cases
- β’Math homework and engineering sketches
- β’Bullet-journal or planner dot-grid pages
- β’Isometric product or room doodles
- β’Hex maps for tabletop games

Frequently Asked Questions
What paper sizes can I print?
A4, US Letter, A3, A5, and US Legal, in portrait or landscape. The PDF page matches the selected sheet so it should print at 100% scale.
What is the difference between isometric and hexagonal paper?
Isometric paper is three sets of parallel lines at 60 degrees (a triangular grid), common for 3D sketches. Hexagonal paper draws hex cell outlines, useful for maps and hex-and-counter games.
How do I get 1/4 inch squares?
Tap the 1/4 inch preset or set spacing to 6.35 mm. That is the usual US quad-paper pitch. Use 5 mm for metric engineering paper.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The preview, PNG, and PDF are built in this browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
